ISSA and NORMI Expand Indoor Health Alliance
New agreement integrates cleaning and mold remediation resources through shared education, advocacy and membership benefits.
ISSA, the association for the cleaning and facility solutions industry, and the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors have signed an expanded alliance agreement to integrate professional cleaning and mold remediation standards.
The agreement builds on a partnership established in 2018. The alliance aims to promote a unified approach to indoor environmental health, emphasizing that healthy buildings require both routine professional cleaning and specialized mold inspection.
Under the new terms, the organizations will focus on four primary areas: education, membership value, media and advocacy. This includes shared access to cleaning and remediation certifications and coordinated engagement with government regulators on indoor air quality issues.
The partnership also designates Cleanfax as the official publication for NORMI members. This media collaboration is intended to increase visibility for best practices in both industries.
The expanded alliance creates a structured membership option, allowing members of either organization to access specific benefits from the other. ISSA members will receive technical bulletins and member pricing for mold assessment training. NORMI members will gain access to ISSA trade show resources, digital publications and specialized industry events.
