The Devil Wears Prada 2 has arrived on Hulu, streaming as of Wednesday, 29 July, roughly three months after wrapping its theatrical run and passing the billion-dollar mark for the franchise at the global box office.
The sequel, arriving on Hulu at 3am ET, catches up with Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs two decades after the events of the original film, as she returns to Runway magazine to work under editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, once again played by Meryl Streep, as the publication’s new features editor.
Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci also reprise their roles from the 2006 original, with the sequel adding Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon and Justin Theroux to the cast, alongside cameos from figures including Jon Batiste, Ciara, Karl-Anthony Towns and Lady Gaga.
The film opened in theatres on 1 May and went on to gross more than $676 million worldwide, pushing the two-film franchise’s combined global total past $1 billion.
Ahead of its streaming debut, the film also became available on digital platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home in late June, followed by a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray release on 28 July.
Hulu’s basic, ad-supported tier is priced at $11.99 a month, with an ad-free option available for $18.99 a month for those wanting to catch up with Runway’s latest drama at home.
