Charming romp through time has lots of action violence.
“Loki” is a time-travel sci-fi series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” (consider that your spoiler alert). It centers on the trickster god featured in many Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, a fan-favorite MCU character played by Tom Hiddleston. Expect lots of comic book-style action violence, including stabbings, disintegrations, limb loss (with light blood) and hand-to-hand combat — and the fate of the universe is always in peril. Many of Loki’s kills from previous films are replayed, as is Thanos’s brutal destruction. Words like “dammit” and “hell” are used, and there’s infrequent implied nudity, but all sensitive body parts are covered. Characters have sexual tension and eventually kiss. Adults sip cocktails and champagne in social settings. On their journey, characters like Loki and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) demonstrate humility, teamwork and self-control. (Six hour-long episodes)

Animated comedy set in ancient Greece has body humor, gore.
“Krapopolis” is an animated comedy for adults created by Dan Harmon (“Community,” “Rick and Morty”). Centered on a fledgling civilization in ancient Greece, the series has satirical violence and gore (for example, severed heads with dripping blood and conflicts between armies), as well as sexual and body part humor. Characters drink “nectar” instead of alcohol (but for the same reason), and language includes “a–,” “damn,” “hell” and more. Characters show empathy, creativity and loyalty, and there are messages about communication, family and community. (22-minute episodes)
Teen horror-comedy has language, violence, sex, drinking.
“Totally Killer” is a horror-comedy in which a teen girl (Kiernan Shipka) time-travels back to 1987 to stop a serial killer. It’s funny, but you can expect graphic violence: The serial killer is known for stabbing his victims 16 times. There are blood puddles and splatters, as well as enhanced stabbing sound effects, and a news reporter is stabbed in the head during a live broadcast. There’s also some bullying: Popular kids make fun of many of their fellow high school students. Teens get a girl drunk at a sleepover, and she drives home drunk to escape the bullying and gets in a fatal accident. Teens binge drink — wine coolers and vodka, especially — smoke weed, eat pot brownies and smoke cigarettes. Strong language throughout includes “f—” and “motherf—er.” Characters talk about sex, particularly oral sex, and in one scene, two teens are on the verge of having sex on a water bed at a party.
