Veterans Day is observed in the United States on Saturday, November 11, 2023 —It’s a chance to show gratitude for the men and women who have served in the military by holding parades, celebrations, and other activities.

Additionally, a lot of companies run unique specials on Veterans Day. Some companies provide freebies and discounts to those who have served in the armed forces, and some contribute a percentage of their earnings to organisations that assist veterans. And some are giving customers discounts.

Check out these nine businesses’ current specials for Veterans Day:

1. Sit ‘n Sleep

Veterans Day is a great time to buy a new mattress since it’s when manufacturers clear out their stock to make place for new arrivals.

In addition to having hundreds of physical locations throughout the nation, Sit ‘n Sleep now accepts online orders. The business is having an amazing Veterans Sale, with some queen-sized mattresses starting at $299 and discounts of up to 50% off.

2. Dee’s Nuts

Premium peanuts might be pricey, but in time for Veterans Day and the approaching holidays, you can buy goods from Jacksonville, Florida-based veteran-owned company Dee’s Nuts.

On the company website, the 10-ounce cans of these snacks—which are available in flavours such as Southern Barbecue, Dill Pickle, and Sriracha Ranch—regularly cost $9.99. However, if you buy them through Walmart’s online store in honour of Veterans Day, they’re just $6.98.

Co-owner of Dee’s Nuts Donavan Warren claims that purchasing them not only helps you save money but also expresses your gratitude to a veteran for their service.

3. Purdori Skincare

Purdori Skincare is offering a Veterans Day bargain, so you can improve your natural beauty with a new skincare line.

“We are so thrilled to honor veterans by offering a discount on our new line of Purdori Skincare products,” says company spokesperson Sylvia Leung. “Purdori is all about luxury, and due to their sacrifice, today’s service members, veterans and their families all deserve to treat themselves.”

For Veterans Day they are providing a 25% off promo code – GYF25 – when you shop via the company’s website.

4. Born Primitive

Born Primitive, an athletic business run by veterans, is donating 100% of its profits—up to $100,000—from sales over the Veterans Day weekend campaign. Additionally, all military personnel receive a 15% discount.

“I started Born Primitive while I was actively serving, and it’s been crucial from day one to support those who serve,” says co-owner and former Navy Lieutenant Bear Handlon.

5. Russell Speeder’s Car Wash and Waters Car Wash

Russell Speeder’s Car Wash, with facilities in Kansas City, Connecticut, Nebraska, and New York, and Waters Car Wash, which offers services across Florida, are the two businesses that makeup Summit Wash Holdings.

This Veterans Day weekend, both are offering free vehicle washes to any current, retired, reserve and veteran military personnel. A coupon for a free wash for later use will also be given to each veteran or active military member who visits the car wash to redeem their free service.

“This Veterans Day, we wanted to offer more than just a ‘thank you,’” says Dustin Isaacson, marketing director at Summit Wash Holdings. “By providing both an immediate service and an ongoing value, we hope to give back even a fraction of what our heroes have given to this nation.”
