Taylor Swift reclaimed her spot in the pop music industry nine years ago today, as she made a historic comeback with Reputation.
The 36-year-old pop superstar wiped her social media clean on August 18, 2017, deleting all her previous social media posts to begin posting a snake tail wiggling in the following days.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker then announced the album title on August 23, and released the first single Look What You Made Me Do on August 25, which set the tone for the record.
This year, the anniversary holds special importance for Swifties as they have been theorising about the re-recording for the album for over a year.
Despite Swift declaring in her letter that she us not re-recording the album, fans are not letting their hopes down and continue to wait on Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
Flocking to the comments, one Swiftie wrote, “And soon rep (taylors version),” and “and when we get rep tv for 10th year anniv?” mused another.
A third cheered, “best comeback of the 2010s and i accept no other answer,” and “THE GREATEST COMEBACK OF ALL TIME!!!,” more agreed.
While others added, “look what you made me do had me GAGGED as a child,” and “The biggest comeback the music industry has ever seen.”
