Sarah Ferguson fiercely defends Prince Andrew amid tension with King Charles

Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is said be fiercely loyal to her daughters and ex-husband amid Royal Lodge feud.

The Duchess of York, who still enjoys time with Andrew in 30-room luxury mansion is “refusing to sell out her family” amid reports she could encourage Prince Andrew, to move out of his home at Royal Lodge.

The Duchess won’t let Andrew lose his battle for Royal lodge as she always defends him and supports him.

Andrew, who’s said to be in intense stress, is determined to stay at his current royal residence with sources claiming he is willing to maintain the £30 million property at “any cost”.

King Charles reportedly wants his younger brother to downsize and move into the much smaller Frogmore Cottage, previously owned by Harry and Meghan.

Speaking about the brother’s feud to the Daily Beast, a source close to Fergie said: “Sarah has never sought to rock the boat. She has said very publicly that she is grateful to have been brought back into the family by the late Queen and she is of course very grateful that has carried on under Charles.

“That’s a different thing to selling out her family,” the friend said, “She is fiercely loyal to Andrew.”

“Andrew does not have a huge amount in his life any more, the house is one of the few things keeping him going. The idea that he is going to throw that away along with his children’s inheritance is just absurd.

“The place is perfectly well maintained and the notion that Andrew is in dire financial straits is not remotely accurate. He still has the support of plenty of friends and has plenty of business interests.”

The pushback from Andrew’s friends comes days after an extensive report in The Times that said the King would “reconsider the levels of support he is willing to provide” unless Andrew moved out.

“The King’s kindness is not without limit, and there is a very good option for Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage…which also has the benefit of being within the Windsor Castle security cordon hence reducing the need for alternative round-the-clock security for Royal Lodge,” one source told the publication.
