President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and its leader Balendra Shah on historic electoral victory.
In a statement, he said the active role of young people in the electoral process was very encouraging and reflected a wider regional aspiration for accountable governance and reform.
The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further deepen bilateral cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, goodwill and shared interests.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also extended his heartiest congratulations to Rastriya Swatantra Party on its remarkable victory in the 2026 elections in Nepal.
In a post on his X handle, he said this strong mandate reflects the trust of the Nepali people in the new and dynamic leadership.
He said Pakistan looks forward to working closely with the newly elected government of Nepal to further strengthen our historic friendship and cooperation.
