Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif directed that all available resources be utilized to provide every possible assistance and relief to the people affected by floods.
He was talking to Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik who called on him in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister directed the NDMA to maintain effective coordination with the relevant provincial departments and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities.
He appreciated the use of AI and modern technology at the National Emergencies Operation Centre.
The Chairman NDMA briefed the Prime Minister on relief activities in flood-affected areas and measures being undertaken for the rehabilitation of flood victims.
He said that with the cooperation of the federal government, NDMA relief operations will continue in flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
