According to details surfaced on Friday, Pezeshkian held a telephonic conversation with the premier. On this occasion, the Iranian president has offered full support to Pakistan in these testing times.PM Shehbaz has expressed his gratitude to Pezeshkian for extending solidarity with Pakistan. The premier has extended his best wishes to Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a telephonic conversation with Pezeshkian.
Meanwhile, both Shehbaz and Pezeshkian have also talked about their potential meeting on the sidelines of the forthcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
Earlier on Thursday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assured PM Shehbaz of Turkiye’s full cooperation in relief efforts following recent floods in parts of Pakistan.
During a telephonic conversation with PM Shehbaz, President Erdogan expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the severe flooding. He conveyed heartfelt condolences and extended Turkiye’s support in managing the aftermath of the disaster.
President Erdogan stated that Turkiye stood ready to assist Pakistan in relief and recovery operations. He affirmed that Turkiye would provide all possible help during this difficult time.
PM Shehbaz thanked President Erdogan for his generous offer and support, describing it as a reflection of the strong, historic, and brotherly ties between the two nations. He said that Pakistan and Turkiye had always stood side by side in times of need.
The two leaders also discussed their forthcoming meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit.
