Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to further strengthen collaboration and partnership in the field of internal security.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, in Doha.
During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the security sector and explored ways to further strengthen the security partnership between Pakistan and Qatar.
They also exchanged views on the prevailing regional situation and issues related to regional peace and stability.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan is committed to further enhancing cooperation with Qatar in the fields of security and other areas of mutual interest.
The Qatari Interior Minister said his country attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and will continue working closely with Pakistan to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
