Tom Cruise’s daughter made him deeply distressed.

According to Radar Online, the Mission Impossible star is left upset as his daughter, Suri Cruise makes a legal move to drop his surname, Cruise.

Moreover, the young actress has decided to use her mother, Katie Holmes’ middle name, Noelle, as her new surname.

However, the recorded voter registration data in Pennsylvania, lists that the 20-year-old has officially changed her surname as Suri Noelle.

An insider told the outlet that the news has rendered Tom deeply saddened, stating, “Tom is heartbroken and having a very difficult time right now.”

Adding, “He has been utilizing back channels for years to try and reconnect with Suri – to no avail.”

It is pertinent to mention that Suri has been living away from her Hollywood star father since 2012, the same year her parents divorced which eventually left her in her mother’s custody.

Despite the long standing distance between the father and daughter, the Top Gun star remains respectful of her privacy, “Tom doesn’t talk openly about Suri. It’s too painful and he’s also very respectful of her privacy,” a source claimed.

“But it’s obvious he’s very proud of her, regardless of the state of their relationship right now.” they further added.

For those unaware the aspiring actress is the only biological child of Tom Cruise.
