Platform’s year-end report offers a glimpse into this year’s most favourite video content
As 2024 is around the corner, short-video platform TikTok scrolls back the year’s most popular videos among users in Pakistan in its annual year-end report.
Focused on the most-favourite video content from this year, the platform takes a look at what kept its users glued to the app, spending their time enjoying some local and international content.
“In 2023, trending content took over For You feeds around the world — especially in the entertainment, lifestyle, education, and sports categories,” TikTok mentioned in its report.
Owing to its craze for cricket, Pakistanis made sure that a video of national team’s pacer Haris Rauf and Indian star batter Virat Kohli meeting during the World Cup was one of the most popular on the app.

Shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the video made it to users’ favourite this year.
The report added that users were mesmerized by funny skits by creator and actor Momin Saqib, delicious recipes by Chef Samiullah, and beauty looks by actor Syeda Tuba Anwar for her shows — all of which remained in everyone’s “fav lists”.

While Saqib is known for his funny, sarcastic content, his video featuring Indian actor Jaqueline Fernandez during the Asia Cup tour was among the most popular content lists on the app.

Another popular video was that of Pakistani actor Tuba’s new looks, as she appeared in dramas on television screens. Tuba is known for her versatile roles in local dramas.
Chef Saimullah left his viewers and followers on the video platform amused with delish recipes, but his most viewed and hot favourite among them was his video of Qeema Kachoori for Ramazan.

Adeel Chaudry, a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, and chef, won his followers’ hearts by sharing the recipe of a prophetic beverage, a favourite of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“@adeelchaudry1: Adeel Chaudry shares the recipe for the favorite drink of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Sunnat e Nabwi, the ‘Nabeez’ a detox drink,” TikTok mentioned in its report.
