‘Family Matters’ Jaleel White shares George Clooney’s ‘unique’ trait

Jaleel White recently got candid and revealed what he learnt from living legend George Clooney.

For those unaware, White played Steve Urkel in the famous sitcom Family Matters while Clooney played Dr. Doug Ross in the medical drama ER during the same time and both shows were filmed at the same studio.

On the recent episode of Sherri with Sherri Shepherd, the 49-year-old American actor said, “You know ER was shot next door to Family Matters. So George taught me a lesson.”

“George taught me a lesson in stardom because my basketball court — when ER asked to move it into a common area, it suddenly became his basketball court.”

“But George was a great guy to be around. He was always really humble. And the thing about George that was unique though, was he was very intentional about his road in Hollywood. Whereas me, I was kind of a leaf in the wind and figuring it out with my parents,’ White shared.

It is pertinent to mention that Family Matters aired nine seasons from 1989 to 1998, whereas ER ran for fifteen seasons from 1994 to 2009.
