Brooklyn Beckham is receiving flak for his latest recipe online.
The aspiring chef and son of David Beckham, who lives away from his estranged family in America, has made himself laughing stock hours after posting a new pasta recipe.
Turning to his social media this week, Brooklyn raised a few eyebrows after he shared a clip of himself cooking pasta from seawater amid his holiday with wife Nicola Peltz.
Speaking about the bizarre recipe, expert chef Jameson Stocks tells The News International: “Whoever advised him to do that should be fired , or he needs to seriously reconsider his judgment.”
The chef adds: “I understand that he wants to use salted water for the pasta, but seawater contaminated with pesticides and animal waste is completely unacceptable. He must be out of his mind.”
“He seems completely disillusioned, which I find rather sad. In my view, he has no place teaching people how to cook—his toastie-making is uninspiring nonsense. Without the Beckham surname, I doubt even Subway would hire him,” continues Stocks.
Sharing his opinion about Brooklyn ‘s future as a chef, Stocks adds: “The only reason he gets these opportunities is that Beckham is his surname; doors will always open for him.”
“People who have trained in Michelin-starred restaurants or worked in the industry for years—putting in the hard yards, living on the breadline, and sacrificing their lives for food—will never receive the same opportunities. If he were genuinely talented, I could understand it, but what he produces is simply pathetic,” opines Stocks.
Brooklyn Beckham left his family after tensions grew between his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. The eldest son of the Beckham chose to distance himself from his family to protect his marriage and find peace.
