In the Heart of the Beast, Brad Pitt struck an emotional bond with his dog, and both are heading straight to the San Sebastián Film Festival.

The film will not compete among other festival submissions; instead, the Paramount movie will be part of the Official Selection.

Pitt, along with director David Ayer, will attend the Spanish festival to promote ht film.

The Academy-winning actor steps into an ex-Army Special Forces soldier facing a plane crash deep in the forest with a retired service dog named Odin.

Off the screen, Pitt forged a deep bond with the German Shepherd, whose real name is Uber.

“In our story it’s James and Odin in the Alaskan outback, which turns into a survival story,” he previously told People.

In the movie, Pitt said the dog is “the most important piece to this story. And it’s been a surprisingly special experience.”

While the canine is beside him, Pitt, who is also serving as producer, said, “It’s really beautiful in the film how they work together and depend on each other.”

Cameron Alexander wrote the screenplay, while Damien Chazelle, Scott Lumpkin, and Chris Long served as executive producers.

As the logline of film reads, “An intense adventure thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet.”

The Heart of the Beast is set to hit cinemas on Sept. 25.
