Ariana Grande broke her silence amid public scrutiny over her appearance as she celebrated her new album Petals topping the US Billboard 200 albums chart.
The Wicked star’s latest work hit the number one spot, and she marked the milestone by taking it to Instagram, gushing over her seventh chart topper.
Reposting Billboard‘s headline on her Stories, Ariana penned, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The celebratory post came after the actress and singer wrapped the North American leg of her Eternal Sunshine Tour Friday night in Chicago.
She is next scheduled to perform in the UK with 10 concerts at London’s 02 Arena.
While concluding the North American leg of the tour, she wrote a post on her social media expressing her gratitude.
“I love you. I cannot believe that this concludes the North American leg of the Eternal Sunshine tour,” Ariana shared.
“I am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude. Thank you endlessly for the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling few months. I will cherish every moment of this time with you all and these memories forever. Thank you, Chicago. London, I cannot wait to see you soon. I love you all more than ever.”
Ariana is also planning to step back from the spotlight after completing her Eternal Sunshine Tour amid the public backlash over her physical appearance and weight. She even withdrew from her previously announced role in Sunday in the Park With George.
Her rep shared in a statement that Ariana plans to ” step back from visibility.”
“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances.”
