Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has delivered a special message from the country’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
The message was handed over during a meeting between the visiting Pakistani interior minister and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Sunday.
The two sides reviewed Tehran-Islamabad bilateral relations and discussed issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
They also exchanged viewpoints on the latest developments concerning the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
On Saturday, Naqvi met with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Mo’meni.
Following the meeting, Mo’meni said part of Naqvi’s visit focused on bilateral issues, including border security, combating drug trafficking, and countering terrorism.
He added that the two sides also reached important understandings in the economic field.
The Pakistani interior minister arrived in Tehran on Saturday to hold talks with senior Iranian officials amid Islamabad’s ongoing mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.
