Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev has reaffirmed Moscow’s commitment to constructive cooperation with Pakistan as Islamabad prepares to assume the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Ambassador Khorev made the remarks during a meeting of SCO member-state ambassadors hosted by Pakistan’s National Coordinator for the SCO, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, on August 19.
The meeting discussed organizational matters related to Pakistan’s upcoming SCO Chairmanship.
The Russian envoy said the SCO remains among the key priorities of Russia’s foreign policy.
He stressed the importance of advancing concrete initiatives in areas including finance, investment, technology, industrial cooperation, the digital economy, transportation and energy.
Ambassador Khorev also wished Pakistan success in its upcoming SCO Chairmanship and reiterated Russia’s readiness to work constructively with Islamabad within the organization.
