Anna Faris recently revealed why she always felt like an odd one out during her motherhood journey.
For those unaware, Faris welcomed her only child, a son named Jack Pratt, on August 17, 2012, whom she shares with her ex-husband Chris Pratt. She is also the stepmother of her husband Michael Barrett’s children, Margot and Dashiell.
At the premiere of Spa Weekend in Las Vegas on Friday, August 7, the 49-year-old American actress and comedian had a conversation with E! News, sharing that she always felt like a misfit with other moms, especially the mothers of his son Jack’s friends.
She went on to tell the outlet that she felt like she was “messing up somehow.”
“I didn’t always feel like I fit in with the mothers of the parents of his friends. I always felt like I was kind of messing up somehow,” The House Bunny star confessed.
Faris then sang praises of her 13-year-old son’s amazing personality, stating that he “knows a whole lot more than I thought he did.”
“I am proud that he has a deep sense of justice and I find him just fascinating,” the Scary Movie actress gushed.
Despite being confused when it came to embracing motherhood, as she always thought about whether she was “fundamentally well suited to be a mom” but she now feels honored to be a mother of a child like Jack.
“I didn’t know if I was just fundamentally well suited to be a mom. I just didn’t know. And so, I’m an older mom, and I’m so lucky. I’m just so lucky that I have this incredible, fascinating boy,” Anna Faris admitted.
