Tate McRae and Jack Hughes have called it quits after facing much speculations online, as fans started to notice strange details about the relationship.

Now that the couple has been confirmed to have broken up, previous reports and anonymous tips resurfaced which suggested that the nature of their relationship was not what it seemed. 

Confirming the breakup, a source told Page Six that “the breakup seems colder than a hockey rink” and DeuxMoi alleged that it was because the relationship had already run its course way before it officially happened. 

The celebrity gossip account claimed that the hockey player was seen “acting single” with other people back in June.

They also noted that during a World Cup party in July, the couple who were seemingly still together at the time, were not seen hanging out together despite being in attendance.

It appears that the greedy hitmaker was the “more mature” one in the relationship and pulled the plug when it had reached a dead end.
