Flash flood alert issued in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa amid ongoing rains – SUCH TV

The Met Office has issued a flash flood alert in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning that rains are likely to continue until April 5.

Strong westerly wind systems are causing a flood situation in several districts, including Bannu, Tank, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan.

North and South Waziristan, Kurram, Karak, Orakzai, and Kohat are also affected.

Urban flooding is expected in low-lying areas of Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, and Charsadda.

Rivers and canals in Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swat, Dir, and Chitral may also overflow.

Local rivers and canals could be dangerous in southern, central, and upper areas of the province.

District administrations have been alerted, and citizens are instructed to take precautionary measures to ensure safety.
