New Tools Aim to Help EHS Professionals Manage Environmental Compliance

A new set of environmental compliance tools is designed to help environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals manage regulatory responsibilities and reduce organizational risk.
J. J. Keller & Associates Inc. recently introduced Environmental Compliance Management, a suite of online tools to help companies track environmental obligations and meet federal and state regulatory requirements. The tools are part of the company’s SAFETY MANAGEMENT SUITE platform, which integrates safety plans, training, audits, incident tracking and chemical management.
According to the company’s research, 87% of EHS professionals report having some level of environmental responsibility within their organizations. With environmental enforcement increasing in recent years, many professionals are tasked with managing both safety and environmental compliance programs.
The Environmental Compliance Management tools include features such as a regulatory applicability wizard, compliance calendar and resources covering state environmental regulations. The system also supports environmental incident reporting, tank management, hazardous waste tracking and reporting assistance for TRI and Tier II requirements.
Company officials say the platform was designed to provide EHS professionals with a centralized solution to manage safety and environmental programs, improve compliance oversight, and reduce administrative burden.
