The Ugandan cricket team has qualified for the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup for the first time in history.
In the T20 World Cup Qualifiers today, the deciding match was played between Uganda and Rwanda. Uganda qualified for the T20 World Cup by defeating the opposing team by 9 wickets.
Uganda also pulled off major upsets of the tournament by defeating Kenya and Zimbabwe earlier. Uganda became a part of the T20 World Cup for the first time by beating Zimbabwe in the points table.
It should be noted that the teams of Namibia, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Oman and Nepal have already qualified for the T20 World Cup. The mega event will be hosted by West Indies and USA next year.
