Sonnalli Seygall is embracing the joys of her pregnancy. The actress has been keeping her fans updated with glimpses of her pregnancy journey, sharing the activities and routines that have become a part of this special phase in her life. Recently, Sonnalli enjoyed a relaxing babymoon in the serene landscapes of Switzerland with her husband Ashesh L Sajnani.

In her latest Instagram post, Sonnalli reflects on the more peaceful side of her pregnancy. She has shared a video of herself performing a yoga asana known as Yoni Mudra. She is seated gracefully on a rough cemented platform, set against a stunning backdrop of breathtaking mist-covered mountains. Sonnalli is seen sitting with her eyes closed, hands resting on her knees and fingers gently spread out.

What is Yoni Mudra?

In her caption, Sonnalli explains that Yoni Mudra is often referred to as the Feminine Adi Shakti Primal Power Mudra. It is dedicated to the female goddess Shakti in Hinduism, where ‘yoni’ symbolises the womb. This mudra is a meditative gesture designed to enhance the connection between body and mind. It is particularly beneficial during conception and pregnancy.

Let’s take a closer look at the benefits of incorporating Yoni Mudra into your routine:

Fertility in women improves

Regularly practising Yoni Mudra is believed to help women experiencing infertility challenges. It helps restore energy in the body, which may improve fertility over time.

Helps women during menopause

It is also beneficial for women dealing with menopause symptoms caused due to hormonal imbalance. Regular practice helps restore balance in the body, making the menopause transition process smoother and more manageable.

Balances feminine energy

This pose assists women in connecting with their innate female energy. Since the womb is deeply embedded within a woman, this mudra strengthens and enhances that deep-rooted connection.

Balances your nadis- Ida and Pingla

The point where the fingers touch each other, is believed to bring balance within the body by harmonising prana. This practice helps align the two most important nadis, Ida (the lunar channel) and Pingala (the solar channel), to promote overall balance and well-being.

Establishes body and mind connection

Yoni Mudra also promotes a stable connection between the body and mind as it prepares individuals for deeper meditation with concentration.

Promotes Vitality

This mudra helps in balancing the nadis or energy channels, specifically and Pingala, which enhances overall health and vitality.
