The United Arab Emirates (UAE) cabinet, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has given the green light to the official holidays calendar for 2024 in both public and private sectors.

The alignment of holidays is poised to support the national economy by creating a stable and productive environment for economic activities.

Key dates for 2024 include January 1 for New Year celebrations, Eid Al Fitr holiday from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal 1445 AH, Arafa Day on 9 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1445 AH, Eid Al Adha from 10 to 12 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1445 AH, and the Islamic New Year on 1 Muharram 1446 AH.

Celebrations also mark 12 Rabi` Al Awwal 1446 AH, commemorating the Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday, and Dec. 2-3, 2024, for the UAE National Day. With these official dates in place, individuals and businesses can look forward to a structured and celebratory year ahead.
