As the moon rises and the air turns cool and strange, it’s time to swap your everyday pour for something more magical. This Halloween, bring the spirit of mystery to your house party with potions that shimmer, smoke, and sting with flavour. From golden highballs and crimson elixirs to fiery rum punches and velvety whisky flips, these cocktails are designed to surprise, enchant, and awaken the dark mixologist within you.
Whether you’re throwing a house party or sipping solo under the moonlight, these spooky cocktails will cast just the right spell this Halloween.
Phantom Lagoon
Ingredients:
- Bacardi Mango Chilli – 50ml
- Guava Cordial – 60ml
- Chilli–Kaffir Tincture – 4–5 drops
- Soda – to top
Method: Batch all ingredients except soda. Pour into Bacardi cups over ice. Top with soda and garnish with a guava slice dusted with Tajin.
Hot Rum Punch
Ingredients:
- Khukri XXX Rum – 60ml
- Lime Juice – 30ml
- Honey – 30ml
- Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves – to taste
- Hot Water – to top
Method: Add rum, lime juice, honey, and spices to an Irish mug. Stir to combine and top with hot water. Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise.
Crimson Curse
Ingredients:
- Bacardi Carta Blanca – 45ml
- Beetroot & Pomegranate Shrub – 25ml
- Lime Juice – 15ml
- Ginger-Honey – 10ml
- Soda – optional
Method: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into Bacardi cups. Garnish with a ginger candy stick.
Coconut Saffron Highball
Ingredients:
- Dewar’s 12 Year Old – 45ml
- Saffron Coconut Syrup – 20ml
- Lemon Juice – 20ml
- Soda Water – 100ml
- Coconut Flesh – 1 string
Method: Build directly in a highball glass. Add ice, top with soda water, and stir gently. Garnish with curled coconut flesh around a straw.
Voodoo Voltage
Ingredients:
- Teeling Whiskey – 45ml
- Pineapple-Passionfruit Mix – 50ml
- Lime Juice – 10ml
- Chilli Tincture – 1 dash
- Ginger Beer – top up
Method: Batch whiskey, fruit mix, lime, and tincture. Pour into Bacardi cups with ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with pineapple fronds.
Camikara Dark & Stormy
Ingredients:
- Camikara 3YO Pure Cane Juice Rum – 60ml
- Ginger Beer – 90ml
- Lime Juice – 15ml (optional)
Method: Build in a highball glass filled with ice. Pour ginger beer first, then float rum on top. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Ballantine’s Whisky Flip
Ingredients:
- Ballantine’s 7 American Barrel Whisky – 35ml
- Amaretto Liqueur – 15ml
- Double Cream – 20ml
- Whole Egg – 1
- Ice – as needed
Method: Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
Longitude77 Kashmiri Saffron Sour
Ingredients:
- Longitude 77 Indian Single Malt – 60ml
- Kashmiri Saffron Syrup – 30ml
- Lime Juice – 20ml
- Egg White or Magic Velvet – 3 drops
Method: Dry shake all ingredients. Add ice, shake again, and fine-strain into a Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with saffron strands and a drop of chilli oil.
Absolut White Russian
Ingredients:
- Absolut Vodka – 40ml
- Kahlúa – 40ml
- Cream – 40ml
- Ice Cubes – as needed
Method: Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add vodka and Kahlúa. Float the cream gently over the back of a bar spoon.
Bloody Moon Martini

Ingredients:
- 50ml Artic Vodka
- 20ml cranberry juice
- 10ml lime juice
- 10ml grenadine
- Black salt rim & edible fake blood for garnish
Method: Rim a martini glass with black salt for that eerie touch. In a shaker, mix Artic Vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice, and grenadine with ice. Shake it like a haunted spirit and strain into the glass. Drizzle some edible fake blood on top for a dramatic effect.
The Wicked Whisper

Ingredients:
- 50ml Singhasan Whisky
- 10ml honey syrup
- Dash of cinnamon
- Smoked cinnamon stick for garnish
Method: Add Singhasan Whisky, coffee liqueur, honey syrup, and cinnamon to a mixing glass with ice. Stir gently until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a smoked cinnamon stick for that eerie, foggy effect.
Pumpkin Panic Punch

Ingredients:
- 50ml Rockford Reserve
- 30ml pumpkin purée
- 10ml maple syrup
- 15ml lemon juice
- Dash of nutmeg
- Top with ginger ale
Method: In a shaker, combine Rockford Reserve, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Shake well until smooth and creamy. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with ginger ale and sprinkle a dash of nutmeg.
The Haunted Highball

Ingredients:
- 50ml Artic Vodka
- 15ml blue curaçao
- 20ml lemon juice
- Glow-in-the-dark ice cube or lemon wheel for garnish
- Top with soda water
Method: Combine Artic Vodka, blue curaçao, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake it up and strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with soda water for that fizzy finish. Add a glow-in-the-dark ice cube or lemon wheel for that extra spooky effect.
