Trace Cyrus calls dad Billy Ray Cyrus ‘delusional, evil person’

Trace Cyrus criticises father Billy Ray Cyrus on social media

Trace Cyrus is not holding back while slamming his father Billy Ray Cyrus on social media. The musician and brother to Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to criticise Billy Ray in a lengthy message shared along a picture of the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker, in a post.

“This man is so hungry for fame it’s pathetic,” Trace started in the post.

“He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn’t come to LA for Mammie’s funeral while he was still married to my mom. Even after his daughter got him a 60k private jet like he demanded then he still didn’t come even after the plane was paid for,” he added.

“You’re the lamest man to ever walk planet earth. Honestly embarrassed to ever have considered you my idol,” he further wrote with a joker emoji.

Not mincing his words, Trace continued, “The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you.”

“Christ is King. Get right with God. You need it,” he concluded the post.

The option to make comments on the post was turned off.

The call out comes four months after Trace expressed concern for his father in another Instagram post made on January 23rd, after the 63-year-old singer’s performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

In the post, Trace recalled his childhood love for his dad and exhibited concern over the current state of their relationship.

“Since my earliest memories, all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever,” Trace began.

“I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now.”

Admitting that his message may “upset” his father, Trace assured that it came from love and concern.

“It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you,” the Metro Station musician continued. “Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years, but you’ve pushed all of us away.”

Trace—who is the older brother of Miley Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, and Noah Cyrus—openly talked about about his fears for Billy Ray’s well-being.

“As I write this with tears in my eyes, I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon,” he wrote, noting that he has been sober from alcohol for over a year and a half.

“I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly, but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help. You know how to reach me.”

Shared along a photo of a younger Trace shaking hands with Billy Ray on stage, the post ended with a request for reconciliation.

“Till that day comes, I will continue to pray for you,” Trace wrote.
