Three notorious dacoits were killed and five others arrested during police encounters in Burewala, Larkana, and Khairpur. In the first encounter, which occurred in the jurisdiction of Gaggo Mandi Police Station, Burewala, two dacoits were shot dead.

The deceased were identified as Abu Bakr and Umar, residents of Mammu Kanjan. According to the Crime Control Department (CCD), both were killed in crossfire involving their accomplices.

The CCD added that the two were involved in serious criminal activities, including dacoity, snatching, and murder.

The second encounter took place under the jurisdiction of Hyderi Police Station, Larkana, where one dacoit was killed.

The deceased, identified as Ashiq Ali Bhutto, was involved in the brutal murder of a young man, Ahmad Ali Bhatti, and had also snatched his motorcycle.

Police also recovered arms and a snatched motorcycle from his possession.

Five dacoits were arrested in an injured condition during a police encounter in Khairpur.

Police received credible information that some dacoits were busy looting people after placing barricades on the road.

After taking notice of the police party, the dacoits started firing, during which five dacoits became seriously injured.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur said that all the arrested dacoits are members of a dacoity group who committed robbery, snatching, car lifting, and kidnapping for ransom incidents.

The arrested dacoits were identified as Yasir Ali, Ali Zaman, Farman Malik, and others.
