Stocks to watch on December 23, 2025: Indian equity markets began the week on a strong note, advancing nearly 1 per cent and extending Friday’s rebound. Ahead of the weekly derivatives expiry, analysts said the Nifty could encounter resistance in the 26,200–26,300 zone, which coincides with its record-high levels. However, the broader trend remains constructive, and market participants may look to accumulate on dips toward the 25,950–26,050 support band.
Adani Total Gas
Adani Total Gas said its board has approved the appointment of Preyash Jhaveri as Interim Chief Financial Officer with effect from December 22. Jhaveri is a commerce and law graduate, a qualified chartered accountant, and holds a postgraduate diploma in business management. He brings over three decades of experience across sectors including energy, gas, healthcare, wind power and chemicals.
Indian Hotels
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced the signing of a Taj-branded hotel in Cairo, marking the group’s entry into Egypt. Hisham El Demery, CEO of Egyptian General Company for Tourism & Hotels (EGOTH), described the conversion of the Grand Continental Hotel into Taj Cairo as a defining moment in efforts to revive Egypt’s architectural heritage.
Ambuja Cements
Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group, said its board has cleared separate schemes of amalgamation to merge ACC and Orient Cement into Ambuja, aimed at creating a unified cement platform with pan-India scale and operational efficiencies.
Emcure Pharmaceuticals
Emcure Pharmaceuticals launched Poviztra, a second brand of Novo Nordisk’s semaglutide injection for weight management, across India. With this, Emcure becomes the first Indian company to exclusively distribute and commercialise Poviztra domestically. Pricing starts at Rs 8,790 per month for four weekly doses, about 15–20 per cent lower than Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy.
ArcelorMittal
ArcelorMittal announced plans to invest around $900 million to develop three renewable energy projects in India with a combined capacity of 1 gigawatt. Once completed, the projects will double its renewable capacity in India to 2 GW and take its global renewable portfolio to 3.3 GW.
Samvardhana Motherson
Samvardhana Motherson International approved the acquisition of the automotive wiring harness businesses of Nexans autoelectric GmbH and Elektrokontact GmbH through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary. The deal, valued at €207 million, will be executed via Motherson Global Investments BV.
Ashok Leyland
India’s largest electric bus tender for 10,900 vehicles under the PM E-DRIVE scheme has been delayed again after Convergence Energy Services missed its December 19 deadline to announce successful bidders. The delay followed a request from Ashok Leyland citing a pending case in the Delhi High Court.
Ramco Cements
Ramco Cements raised Rs 514.90 crore by selling non-core assets to Prestige Estates Projects as part of a Rs 1,000-crore monetisation plan. The company has been divesting non-core assets since last year, including sales worth Rs 376 crore in September–October 2024.
Music Broadcast
Music Broadcast, which operates Radio City, received a GST demand order of Rs 89.63 crore from the Deputy Commissioner, Lucknow, for FY22. The order was issued under Section 73 of the IGST, CGST and SGST Acts.

Prestige Estates Projects acquired a 25-acre land parcel in Medavakkam, Chennai, offering development potential of about 5 million square feet and an estimated revenue potential of over Rs 5,000 crore.

Sanghvi Movers said its material subsidiary, Sangreen Future Renewables, has secured work orders worth Rs 428.72 crore from multiple independent power producers.
Berger Paints
UK Paints (India), part of Berger Paints’ promoter group, will acquire an additional 14.48 per cent stake through internal restructuring, raising its direct holding to 64.57 per cent from 50.09 per cent.
GPT Infraprojects
GPT Infraprojects emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 670-crore NHAI road project in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The order was secured by a consortium of GPT Infraprojects and ISCPPL.
