South Africa announce playing XI for second Test against Pakistan – SUCH TV



Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday, announced their playing XI for the final Test of the two-match series against Pakistan, scheduled to commence on Friday hereat the Newlands.

The home side made three changes to their lineup as Wiaan Mulder, Keshav Maharaj and uncapped Kwena Maphaka replaced Tony de Zorzi, Corbin Bosch and Dane Paterson.

Both Bosch and Paterson were instrumental in leading the home side to a narrow two-wicket victory in the series, which guaranteed their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Paterson bagged a five-wicket haul in the first innings and followed it up with one scalp in the second.

Bosch, on the other hand, played an unbeaten 81-run knock in the first innings after taking four wickets.

Meanwhile, left-handed opener Zorzi had a forgetful outing with the bat in the aforementioned fixture as he was dismissed for two runs in both innings.

South Africa’s hero with the bat, Aiden Markram, will open the innings with Ryan Rickelton, with returning Mulder to follow.

Skipper Temba Bavuma will form the hosts’ middle-order with Tristan Stubbs, David Bedingham and wicketkeeper batter Kyle Verreynne.

Ace pacer Kagiso Rabada will lead the bowling attack, comprised of Marco Jansen, Maharah and Maphaka.

It is worth mentioning here that South Africa lead the two-match series 1-0.

Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Wiaan Mulder, Tristan Stubbs, Temba Bavuma (c), David Bedingham, Kyle Verreynne (wk), Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Kwena Maphaka.
