Prague shooter, David Kozak, 24, reportedly forst gunned down his father and another man and his daughter before going on Czech Republic’s deadliest mass shooting rampage at the historic Charles University.

Kozak is described as an excellent student with no criminal record. Disturbing details emerged about Kozak’s Telegram diary entries expressing intentions of a school shooting and suicide.

The renowned tourist destination, is in shock following a devastating mass shooting, marking the country’s worst-ever such incident.

The lone gunman, identified as 24-year-old David Kozak, opened fire on students, leading to panic and chaos in the city centre.

Videos circulating on social media captured the harrowing scenes of tourists seeking cover and desperate students clinging to a building ledge for safety during the Thursday afternoon attack. 

Czech police swiftly responded to the shooting at Jan Palach Square, discovering the grim reality of 13 lives lost before the gunman took his own life.

Kozak, described as an excellent student with no criminal record, is now suspected of being responsible for his father’s death and a recent fatal shooting of a man and his two-month-old daughter. 

Disturbing details emerged about Kozak’s Telegram diary entries expressing intentions of a school shooting and suicide.

The timeline leading up to the tragedy reveals that authorities were tipped off earlier in the day about Kozak’s suicidal intentions.

A series of posts on Telegram prompted a national search, and the suspect was due to attend a university lecture. 

The police, discovering weapons and explosives at his home, initiated evacuations at the university, culminating in a confrontation at Jan Palach Square.

Prague’s Police Chief Martin Vondrasek reported that 10 injured individuals are in serious condition. 

The assailant’s descent into violence, from a concerning diary to a deadly rampage, has left the city grappling with the aftermath of this senseless act.
