Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, in a high-level discussion focusing on regional and global developments.
According to a statement from the Pakistani government, the Saudi minister was welcomed upon arrival by PM’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received Prince Faisal warmly in his office, with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and National Security Adviser Lieutenant General Asim Malik also in attendance.
Earlier, Ishaq Dar had held a separate meeting with the Saudi minister. During the discussions, both sides conducted a detailed exchange on the evolving regional and global situation, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and joint efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region.
The meeting coincides with Pakistan hosting key negotiations involving foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey. According to the Foreign Office, the talks are part of ongoing efforts to reduce tensions and foster cooperation across the region.
