Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on the sidelines of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ emergency session on Palestine.
During the meeting, both sides condemned Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza, describing it as genocide and a cause of famine, while stressing the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian assistance and a lasting ceasefire.
The two leaders also recalled recent high-level exchanges, including the visit of Iran’s President to Pakistan, and reaffirmed the deep-rooted ties between the neighboring nations. Discussions further covered broader regional and global peace and security issues.
