Security forces have destroyed another Afghan Taliban post and a tank position in the Kurram sector.

According to security sources, the Afghan Taliban abandoned several bodies at the site before fleeing after suffering heavy losses.

The latest development comes amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where clashes have been reported in recent days.

Security officials confirmed that vigilant monitoring and targeted operations continue to ensure the area’s stability and protection of Pakistani territory.

Two days ago, Pakistani security forces successfully countered an attack by Afghan Taliban and Indian-sponsored terrorists on Pakistani posts on the international border and killed more than 200 of the attackers.

According to ISPR, Pakistan captured 21 Afghan posts from Taliban. However, 23 soldiers were martyred in defence of the homeland while 29 soldiers were injured in exchange of fire. According to ISPR, Pakistan Army used right of self-defence against attacks and decisively pushed back the attackers from the border.

The security forces said on the night of October 11 and 12, the Afghan Taliban and the Indian-sponsored terrorists carried out unprovoked attacks on Pakistani posts along the international border. The cowardly act included firing and some physical raids, ISPR said. The unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij were aimed at facilitating terrorism.

The security forces said Taliban forces and allied foreigners suffered heavy casualties in the Pakistan Army-led operation. Pakistan forces spokesperson said that apart from the deaths, the number of injured were quite high in Afghanistan.
