Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, the team announced on Saturday.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles next week, according to the team.
Mathurin — the 2024 Rising Stars MVP — averaged 14.5 points per game for a Pacers team in eighth in the Eastern Conference.
He’s expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
