Our 85 NA seats stolen through rigging: PTI spokesperson – SUCH TV

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hassan has alleged that the general election was rigged and their party was deprived of 85 seats in the National Assembly.

Addressing a press conference along with other party leaders in Islamabad, Hassan said that the election commission had failed to ensure transparency and fairness in the polls.

He said that there were discrepancies and contradictions in the forms used to record and consolidate the results.

He also claimed that the turnout was artificially inflated in some areas, while the votes cast for PTI were reduced or rejected.

PTI leader Shandana Gulzar said that her party had won 155 seats in Punjab, but was only given 55 by the election authorities.

She accused the rival parties of manipulating the results and changing the results overnight. She said that PTI candidate Rehana Dar was leading in her constituency till late night, but was declared defeated in the morning.

PTI leader Salman Akram Raja said that his party had received a record number of votes in the general election, but the mandate was stolen in the darkness of night.

He appealed to the global media to expose the denial of democracy and the right to rule to the Pakistani people.

He said that his party was deprived of the bat symbol, which was its election symbol, and that the people had voted in large numbers on February 8, giving a historic vote to PTI.

Salman Akram Raja said that if fake results had to be compiled, then there was no point in holding elections.

He said that he was winning by o.1 million votes in his constituency, but the result was changed in favour of his opponent. He said that the people remembered the election symbols of PTI candidates and voted for them.
