Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s ongoing feud on X (formerly Twitter) has taken a new turn, as both rappers addressed each other’s children in what could loosely be described as apologies.
However, instead of truly defusing the situation, their messages have only added fuel to the fire, with each artist continuing to take pointed shots at the other.
The heated exchange, which has lasted several days, has seen the two rappers hurling personal insults at one another, targeting everything from family to career milestones.
Tensions escalated when both dragged each other’s children into the feud, igniting widespread backlash.
The Super Bass rapper eventually slowed her barrage of posts to issue a message directed at Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture. The message, while presented as an apology, also included commentary that many interpreted as passive-aggressive.
“Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand. you’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features. One day you’ll see this, so I have to say: I apologize. As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity. You’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this,” Nicki wrote.
Cardi B, 32, responded by addressing Nicki’s son, affectionately known as Papa Bear. However, her message felt more like a jab at Nicki than a heartfelt apology to the child.
“I’m sorry that your mommy haven’t cut you a birthday cake for the past 3 days cause she can’t take my success or happiness,” Cardi wrote.
Cardi later responded directly to Nicki’s note to Kulture, accusing her of making a “backhanded apology.”
“I don’t wanna keep mentioning kids it feels very nasty,” Cardi added, acknowledging that involving children in their feud was a step too far.
