The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a new spell of rain across the country starting Monday.

According to the PMD, a westerly weather system is expected to enter Pakistan, bringing rainfall in various regions. Hailstorms are likely in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.

The department has also predicted snowfall in northern areas during this period, with rain expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from February 25.

Additionally, the PMD has warned of flash floods and the risk of landslides in hilly areas. Tourists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel for safety reasons.

Meanwhile, Karachi is likely to experience mostly cloudy skies, bringing cooler conditions compared to the preceding days.

According to the Met Office, Karachi will see varying wind directions over the next three days. Northeastern winds from Balochistan are expected during the night and early morning hours, while southwesterly sea breezes will dominate in the afternoons.

Residents are advised to be prepared for sudden changes in temperature and visibility, especially during early morning hours when fog may impact traffic.
