The Morning Show cast and creative team of gathered at New York’s Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday night to celebrate the premiere of the Apple TV+ drama’s fourth season.
While walking the red carpet, they reflected on one of the show’s newest themes, artificial intelligence.
Executive producer and director Mimi Leder shared how working on Season 4 shifted her perspective.
“I learned a lot about AI this season,” she told Variety. “What I learned was it can never, ever replace the human heart and the human connection ever.”
Mark Duplass, who has played Chip Black since the first season, admitted he sees both potential and risk in AI’s growing role in Hollywood.
“I look at AI and think if it’s going to democratize technology and allow someone in West Virginia to make this really cool, interesting action sequence that they never would have been able to make, awesome,” he said.
“But if you’re going to use it to sound mix your movie in an automated way instead of hiring the three guys that have been doing it, we have some issues.”
As the cast explored the subject of technology on the carpet, Reese Witherspoon was busy earlier, sharing her personal highlights from the past few months.
The Legally Blonde actress recently posted a carousel of photos on Instagram, capturing moments with family and friends over the summer.
Witherspoon also joined in on a TikTok trend inspired by the hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty, using it to reflect on her own season of growth.
In her post, she revealed that this summer she “got mindful,” “closer with loved ones,” “reconnected with hometown” and “accomplished something new.”
She captioned the photos, “Summer may be over, but the memories are forever.”
