Louis Tomlinson has revealed exciting news about the Away From Home Festival, just days before its U.S. debut.
Making a special announcement via an Instagram video, the former One Direction superstar recorded a message for concertgoers and online viewers, revealing that he will share the stage with Steve Aoki, with whom he released his first solo single Just Hold On on December 10, 2016.
“A little message, some of you won’t be that surprised, Steve Aoki is obviously playing on the Saturday, my first ever single was with Steve Aoki, so I thought I might as well join him on the stage Saturday, so hopefully I’ll see you there,” he told the million followers.
While some fans will attend the two-day event in person, others will watch the live stream, playfully expressing their frustration with comments like, “How dare you do this when I’m not there.”
“Fomo is so real,” another added, followed by a third, “AHHH CAN’T WAIT TO WATCH IT TROUGH A GLITCHY LIVE STREAM.”
A fourth added, “I am so excited!! Congratulations to everyone who gets to be there in person for this!!”
The 33-year-old singer-songwriter also expressed his gratitude for all the love and support he has been receiving recently, saying, “I just wanted to say a massive, massive thank you for this week in general. It’s been absolutely incredible. The support, as always, has been unbelievable, so thank you, thank you, thank you for that.”
This week, the Story of My Life singer bombarded his fans with one surprise after another. He announced his third album How Did I Get Here?, released the lead single Lemonade, and also revealed a Netflix road trip project with Zayn Malik also in the mix.
Additionally, Louis’s self-curated festival, launched in 2021, is set to take place at Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, New York.
