Lauren Jauregui shares update on Fifth Harmony’s future music plans

Lauren Jauregui teases future possibility of Fifth Harmony music

Lauren Jauregui, one of the four remaining members of Fifth Harmony, recently updated whether the group has any new music in the works, following their hiatus in 2018.

In an interview with People at an awards gala in Los Angeles on Friday, November 8, the 28-year-old songstress hinted that quartet might reunite for new song sometime in the future but not right now.

“Maybe in the future at some point, but not right now,” Jauregui replied when was asked if fans could expect any new Fifth Harmony songs soon.

“I’m definitely focused on myself currently,” she weighed on solo projects, tempering fans’ hopes for the group reunion.

Though the Expectations vocalist dampened hopes for the girl band reunion in the near future, she didn’t rule out the possibility of new music at some point down the line.

Fifth Harmony, originally composed of Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Camila Cabello, who left the group in 2016, was formed by Simon Cowell after the members met on the second season of The X Factor USA in 2012.

The group placed third on the show and achieved major success, with hits like Worth It (2015) and Work from Home (2016), as well as studio albums Reflection, 7/27 and their self-titled final release, Fifth Harmony.

In December 2016, Fifth Harmony announced via Twitter (now X) that Camila Cabello had departed the group to pursue a solo career.

The quartet continued as a group until they eventually went on hiatus in March 2018, with each member focusing on their solo projects.
