Eight people died and 13 were injured when a passenger coach collided with a truck at Othal Zero Point in Lasbela District on Thursday.
According to rescue sources, the passenger coach was going from Panjgur to Karachi.
The accident was so severe that the passengers’ limbs were scattered all around the accident site.
Immediately after the accident, rescue teams left for the scene of the accident near Zero Point.
The dead and injured were shifted to a local hospital by ambulances from Winder and Hub.
Six people died on the spot while two women breathed their last due to excessive bleeding on their way to hospital.
Government of Balochistan expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the passenger coach accident near Zero Point.
The Balochistan government spokesperson said the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals and medical assistance is being provided,
“We express our heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the affected families,” Government of Balochistan said.
Directions have been issued to the district administration to ensure immediate relief and assistance to the affected people.
An inquiry has been launched to find out the reasons for the accident.
