Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, held an important meeting with a delegation of prominent investors and businessmen from the United Arab Emirates, led by Mohamed El Baradei, Group Chief Investment Officer of Abu Dhabi’s global investment and strategic advisory firm, EIX.
Welcoming the delegation, the Finance Minister briefed them on Pakistan’s economy and the ongoing structural reforms. He reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing investors’ concerns and highlighted significant opportunities in the mining sector.
He also underlined measures being taken to reduce energy and financial costs for businesses. Senator Aurangzeb shed light on the ongoing privatization process, emphasizing that Pakistan’s future lies in investment- and export-led growth, where UAE investors can play a vital role alongside local businesses.
The UAE delegation appreciated the warm reception and termed the discussions productive, noting that such engagements would further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
