Located in Karnataka’s Udupi district, Kantara actor Rishab Shetty’s Rs 12 crore mansion pays a homage to his lineage and his love for cinema.

Rishab Shetty’s mansion is located in Karnataka’s Udupi district.
The first thing you notice isn’t the grandeur. It’s the soul. A salty sea breeze drifts in from Maravanthe Beach, brushing past temple bells, laterite walls, and the faint hum of coastal chants. In Kundapura, tucked amid swaying palms and red-tiled roofs, filmmaker and actor Rishab Shetty has built a home that feels less like a mansion and more like a myth retold in stone. It’s a space where the echoes of Kantara find quiet permanence in brass, teak, and memory.
A Coastal Dream Rooted in Legacy
Rising over land once dotted with supari palms belonging to his ancestors, the Rs 12-crore residence in Karnataka’s Udupi district is Rishab Shetty’s homage to lineage and storytelling. A single palm from the original grove still stands tall in the backyard, almost like a family sentinel. Visitors are greeted by broad laterite steps and Burma-teak doors adorned with brass studs. Inside, the threshold opens into an airy atrium crowned by a skylight, where a 300-kg granite tulsi katta anchors the space. Surrounding it are four alcoves displaying a fascinating mix of Yakshagana masks, a Kantara rifle prop, and a cricket bat signed by Yuvraj Singh.
One playful quirk? Step on a specific black stone in the northeast corner, and a hidden sound system bursts into a seven-second Bhoota Kola chant.
Where Cinema Meets Comfort
The private screening room feels like an extension of Rishab himself – artsy, immersive, and proudly regional. Plush Italian recliners face a retractable 150-inch screen, while a chandelier made from reclaimed Mangalorean tiles scatters amber light across the room. The projector, affectionately named Seleyaraya after a forest deity, watches over every frame that flickers to life.
A Driveway of Stories
Each car in the driveway tells a tale of triumph – a pearl-white Audi Q7 for premieres, a rugged Mahindra Thar for coastal drives, a Jeep Compass for city runs, and a Royal Enfield Interceptor for nostalgia.
From a kitchen perfumed with homemade coconut oil to hammocks replacing office chairs in his production house, Rishab’s world marries rooted simplicity with cinematic luxury. In Rishab Shetty’s home, every tile hums with heritage, every corner tells a story, and luxury isn’t loud, it’s lyrical.
