ICICI Bank’s shares on Monday surged by 2 per cent to hit its fresh all-time high of Rs 1,437 on the BSE in the opening trade, after the private sector lender reported an 18 per cent jump in March quarter standalone net profit at Rs 12,630 crore. HDFC Bank also hit its all-time high of Rs 1,950 apiece after it reported a 6.68 per cent rise in its standalone net profit to Rs 17,616.14 crore during Q4 FY25.
Yes Bank also surged in the opening trade after its strong Q4 results, with the stock rising 7.07 per cent to trade at 18.9 apiece in the early trade. The lender reported a 63 per cent YoY jump in its net profit to Rs 738 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2025.
Brokerage Recommendations On ICICI Bank
Brokerage firm Motilal Oswal Financial Services on Monday reiterated a ‘buy’ call on ICICI Bank with a revised target price of Rs 1,650, implying a 17 per cent upside potential.
Another brokerage JM Financial also recommended a ‘buy’ call with a share target of Rs 1,650 apiece. It said ICICI Bank delivered a robust performance across all key metrics, surpassing both our estimates and consensus by 6% at the PAT level. This was driven by: i) NIM (reported) expansion (+16bps QoQ) led by higher yields (+21bps QoQ) which supported NII growth of +11% YoY, +4% QoQ (+3% JMFe), ii) steady opex and other income, leading to PPoP growth of +17% YoY, +5% QoQ (+3% JMFe), iii) lower credit costs of +27bps (vs. +38bps QoQ), though aided by decline in PCR by ~240bps QoQ.
