The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued a notification announcing revised timings for all federal educational institutions in the upcoming winters.
Key Changes:
Morning shift: All schools will operate from 8:30am to 2:30pm.
Fridays: On Fridays, schools will function from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
Evening shift: Schools will remain open from 1:30pm to 6pm.
Parents and students are advised to adhere to the new schedule and make necessary arrangements.
Section 144 in Islamabad
Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed in the federal capital for another two months, and the district magistrate has issued orders prohibiting 10 activities.
According to the notification, there will be a ban on displaying and carrying weapons throughout Islamabad. The use of loudspeakers, amplifiers and sound systems will also be banned. Distribution of handbills, pamphlets, putting up posters and wall chalking has been banned, as has playing of speeches containing religious hatred and hate speeches on sound systems.
There will also be a ban on the sale, storage and use of fireworks. Apart from petrol pumps, a complete ban has been imposed on the sale of petrol elsewhere, while the breaking and crushing of mountains through explosives is also prohibited.
