After the recent heavy rains, Lahore faces a heightened risk of a dengue outbreak as health authorities confirm fresh cases across the city.
According to the private TV channel, 12 new dengue fever patients were confirmed in Lahore on Wednesday.
Seven cases were recorded in Allama Iqbal Zone, while two cases each emerged from Nishtar and Samanabad zones.
In addition, one case was reported from the Aziz Bhatti Zone.
So far this year, Lahore has recorded a total of 76 confirmed dengue patients.
Experts warn that rainfall has accelerated the breeding of mosquitoes, raising fears of a larger outbreak.
