Cardi B is giving fans a candid look into her life once again, this time, it’s all about her hair.
The Hello rapper, 33, recently went live on Instagram and revealed that she hasn’t washed her hair in months.
In a clip shared on X, the mom of three, who is expecting her fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, explained that it has been about “two or three months” since she last cleaned her scalp. She added that she plans to oil her scalp, wash her hair and get braids soon.
Joking about the situation, Cardi tapped her head, which appeared to be covered with a wig cap, and said, “I probably got all types of roach eggs, mosquito eggs, everything in this.”
Cardi B’s relationship with hair over the years
Cardi has spoken openly over the years about her evolving relationship with her hair.
Back in 2021, she posted childhood photos while responding to criticism of her natural texture.
Born to a Trinidadian mother and Dominican father, she reminded fans that being mixed didn’t mean she always had long, defined curls.
She shared that she struggled with her hair as a kid and only in recent years discovered routines that helped it grow.
In that same message, she encouraged women of colour to stop labeling their texture negatively.
She wrote, “I want women of color with tighter curl patterns to know that you don’t have ‘bad hair,’ There’s no such thing as bad hair, and ‘good’ hair don’t mean a certain texture. All hair is good.”
Cardi B’s latest upcoming music
Cardi recently gave an update about her music.
After fans asked whether she was planning a deluxe or remix version of her latest album, Am I the Drama?, she set the record straight during a live chat on X Spaces.
“I see you guys asking for a deluxe or asking to do a remix album like Charli [XCX] or something,” she said, adding, “Unfortunately, I am not doing none of that… What I gave y’all is what y’all getting.”
Instead, she teased something bigger.
Cardi shared that she hopes to release a new album in 2026 and wants to shift into a fresh artistic phase.
“However, I want to put out a project another album in less than a year, so I’m really planning on that. I want a new era,” she said.
She hinted that the upcoming music will take a different direction from her second studio album, which arrived on September 19.
“I kinda know what I want it to look like. It’s gonna be different from Am I the Drama?”
For now, fans will just have to wait and see what her next era brings, and if her hair routine gets the reset she’s promising.
