The RBI categorizes certain holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts. During these designated holidays, banks cannot conduct operations, and physical banking services are unavailable. However, customers can still access internet banking, SMS banking, and WhatsApp banking services for both financial and non-financial transactions.
