Karachi Kings captain, Shan Masood finds himself facing a challenging phase as he struggles to replicate his past performances in the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
With only 79 runs to his name across four innings, Masood’s form has raised concerns.
Former cricketer Azhar Ali, weighed in on Masood’s predicament, expressing his observations on his current struggles.
Speaking on a local sports channel, Azhar noted that Masood appears to be grappling with his form, unable to find the rhythm that characterized his previous seasons’ performances.
“Shan isn’t playing in flow like previous seasons, he’s struggling a bit,” Azhar said.
Azhar emphasized that Masood might be burdened by the pressure to deliver lengthy innings, urging him to adopt a more carefree approach to his batting.
“I think he has taken too much pressure on himself to play long innings. He should just go out and play freely,” he further added.
Furthermore, Azhar emphasized the importance of adapting to the conditions to score runs without succumbing to undue pressure.
“According to the conditions, he [Shan] should attempt whatever shots are possible, not taking too much pressure on himself. T20 cricket is all about looking to score, enjoying your batting, and being smart about it,” he concluded.
